you know, about how it’s strength of character as opposed to him just being a magical unicorn of a werewolf, which would have been ugh. Until I was lying awake last night, mulling it over: Scott’s never killed anyone and sure he orchestrated to numerous times and exclaimed the will to about .5…
Wait is this suppose to be a negative argument about Scott? Im confused. I know you hash tagged anti-Scott but how is this scene negative. Its not like it was for the bad, its not like he didn’t tell Derek about his plan either, and although Derek’s pride might not be okay with being picked up like that his common sense and moral didn’t have an issue. So what are you trying to say??
Is your question: how is the using of another person’s body against their will a bad thing? Or is it, how is it bad to use a person’s body against their will to give a Gift to the man partly responsible for murdering this person’s family if it helps the greater good? Or…?
He didn’t tell Derek about his plan. If you have some Behind-The-Scenes clip that shows he does, feel free to let me know. But in the canon that played out on TV, he did not tell Derek his plan. He pretended to join his pack deliberately to spy on him, and then he plotted behind his back to take out Gerard, and use Derek as a blunt tool and object to that effect. The only person he ever consulted about the plan in canon was Deaton, not Derek.
And Scott he used Derek, he kicked him while he was down with his parting pot shot. Using him may have felt necessary (but it wasn’t, FYI), but that parting line was only meant to hurt Derek, it didn’t help him take down Gerard in any way, shape, or form.
So, yeah, it’s a negative argument. Also a hella old one and pretty much moot at this point, but there you go.
Whoah dude i was just asking and expressing. And yeah he did. Re-watch the episode. Scott had the whole thing planned out which is why he did it in the first place. My question is neither one of those that you first listed. I asked what you were try to say and now i see that your just against using someone against their will big time, so seeing that portrayed in a ‘hero’ is like hell for you. Understandable. However like i said re-watch the episode. Like you said Scott and eaton talked about it. They talked about Scott’s plan. Derek didn’t know about the plan until it worked, and once he found out he was reluctant but okay with it. The plan wasn’t just giving a man (Gerard Argent) a gift. Thats what Gerard wanted. And your acting like Derek wouldn’t have done it anyway. If Derek knew that his bite would be all that there is to taking down Gerard there is no doubt he would do it. Yes Scott had to forced Derek’s body to do so, but he wouldn’t have had to it Scott was paralyzed. And im just shedding some light to the situation and its expression of opinion. So no its not moot, its just some input :)
